Now everyone will have their own idea for the top ten infant costumes for the year.  We selected only costumes that are new for 2009 and then we went to a couple of the largest online costume retailers to find the bestsellers. The bestsellers will of course change from week to week, this list is what we like right now. We tried to include a mix of costumes that are appropriate for boys and girls.  So here we go:

6. Here Comes Trouble Costume – You have to see this one. It’s a combination of devil and angel. We Moms can all relate to that! Available in sizes from 6 months to 2T.

7. Infant/Toddler Black Kitty Costume – Black kitty with pink stomach and pink ears.

G.I. Joe the Rise of Cobra movie, When all else fails, they don’t. A teaser trailer for Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland is now available on the Internet. The movie release is not until March, 2010 but there’s lots of interest now. Johnny Depp stars as the Mad Hatter. Other great characters include of course Alice, the Queen of Hearts, Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum,  and the Cheshire Cat. Alice in Wonderland will be available in Disney Digital 3D.

If you’re looking to dress the part next year or for Halloween this year, there are some great costumes. The new Star Trek movie is out today! The young new actors playing familiar characters are bringing in the younger audience along with the die hard Star Trek fans. If you like to dress in theme for the movie or want to get a jump on Halloween, check out the new Star Trek costumes. The deluxe Star Trek men’s shirts are available in red, blue, and gold and sizes M, L, XL, and Plus. The sames shirts are also available in a child Medium and Large. The new X-Men Origins: Wolverine move dubuts on May 1, 2009. There is time to pick up a cool Wolverine costume or mask to wear to the movie or for your private party!  The adult costume is the classic yellow and blue jumpsuit with attached boot tops and belt buckle. Playboy Enterprises, Inc. has awarded an official license for North America distribution of Halloween costumes to Rubie’s Costume Company. Full story here.  The costumes will be available in two Rubie’s divisions, Secret Wishes and the newly formed Delicious Sexywear. Some of the new costumes will be announced at the International Lingerie Show next week.  They are described as “affordably priced costumes.”  This is great news for Halloween 2009. The Playboy costumes have typically been high quality but also come with a high price tag and often arrive late in the season, barely making it in time for Halloween. We look forward to viewing the new Playboy Costumes soon!

It is no surprise that some of the best selling men’s costumes are super heroes but we also found that the men like some humorous costumes too and yes a little romance.

Halo 3 is the top selling men’s costume at buycostumes. “Created for the Spartan Project, the Mark IV MJOLNIR armor system provides the wearer with a variety of tools useful for the defense of Earth. The next few costumes we found showed that men like the humorous costumes – the Headless Man Costume, Mustard Costume, Beer Guy, and the Man in the Yellow Hat.  Finally Hugh Hefner’s Smoking Jacket is also popular as men love to live out their fantasies!
