Day of the Dead Costumes - El Dia de los Muertos – All Souls Day – All Saints Day – Halloween

We celebrated Halloween last night at a local party. I had so much fun in my Dame of the Dead costume. My friend Jeannie helped me with the makeup and it was perfect.  Even my close friends didn’t recognize me until I spoke.

The ladies Day of the Dead costume was easy to wear. I am too old for many of the modern, sexy costumes. This one covered me up and was great to dance in. There were black lights near the dance floor and I guess I glowed! Friends tried to get a picture but um, I don’t think the black light glow will come across in a flash picture. Guess you had to be there.

The Dame of the Dead and Del Muerto Groom Costumes were exclusives at my favorite Halloween retailer. They are quality costumes coming with all you need except for makeup and possibly a wig for the ladies costume. And you’ll need your own shoes. I wore black boots with mine.

If you’re looking to do a whole family outfit to celebrate El Dia de los Muertos, I would suggest picking up a kids skeleton costume, not using the mask (masks are uncomfortable anyway) and adding your own makeup.

7. Star Wars Clone Wars Deluxe Commander Fox Child Costume.  Quality new Star Wars Costume for 2009. Comes with jumpsuit, boot covers and mask.  The pictures all show a blaster too which you’ll have to get separately for the full look. Impressive looking costume in child small, medium, and large.

8. and 9. GI Joe Storm Shadow Deluxe Child Costume and GI Joe Snake Eyes Classic Child Costume.  Storm Shadow in white and Snake Eyes in black. Both have the ninja fighter look. The costumes include top, pants, hood and gloves. Swords sold separately.

10.  Punk Creep Child Costume – This is the one that the pre-teens are going to love.  The mask has a scary face with a punk hair do. The Punks Not Dead Shirt is included and you’ll want to add pants, belt, and guitar.

The bestsellers will of course change from week to week, this list is what we like right now. We tried to include a mix of costumes that are appropriate for boys and girls.  So here we go:

G.I. Joe the Rise of Cobra movie, When all else fails, they don’t. A teaser trailer for Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland is now available on the Internet. The movie release is not until March, 2010 but there’s lots of interest now. Johnny Depp stars as the Mad Hatter. Other great characters include of course Alice, the Queen of Hearts, Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum,  and the Cheshire Cat. Alice in Wonderland will be available in Disney Digital 3D.

The new Star Trek movie is out today! The young new actors playing familiar characters are bringing in the younger audience along with the die hard Star Trek fans. If you like to dress in theme for the movie or want to get a jump on Halloween, check out the new Star Trek costumes.
